Erudus Upgrade: Information for Wholesalers
Earlier this month Erudus received a major upgrade. We introduced a whole host of new features, enhancements and tools born out of user feedback and designed to make the platform easier to use and more effective than ever.
And there is certainly plenty for Wholesalers to get excited about - time saving changes, efficiency drivers and even new tools that will reduce your customers' need to contact you for information.

Changes to Gluten
We have removed the attribute “Suitable for Coeliac” from our dataset. Instead, we are introducing definitive “free-from” claim attributes for all the 14 major allergens (including Cereals containing Gluten, or gluten) on product specifications.
Wholesalers now have less ambiguity about the presence and concentration of different gluten sources in the products they are interested in.

Enhanced Characteristics
Further characteristics are being added to make our specification data more comprehensive for the product. There is now no need for Wholesalers to request this information if they need it or get asked for it from their customers - saving them time and resources.

New Free-from Claims
We’ve added a new ‘Free-from claim’ section to the Erudus Product Editor. For Wholesalers, this adds another attribute to specifications, to allow for better filtering on e-commerce platforms, to make shopping for allergen-free products much easier

Multiple Local Codes
Wholesalers can apply multiple individual codes to a single product specification, codes which can be applied at case level and component level. Having this additional segmentation allows for increased clarity and malleability of identifying products at the correct packaging level for internal purposes - as well as processing sales.

A new accreditations list
Wholesalers are able to filter products using accreditations, should they be looking for products accredited with specific certifications. This new list is much more comprehensive and inclusive.

A new packaging model
This new model makes Erudus specifications more robust, by having more specific information available and offering attributes that document packaging layers more accurately.
Wholesalers now don’t need to solicit additional information regarding product data from their suppliers because it will all be in Erudus. This saves time and human resources and drives efficiency through the whole supply chain.

Product Change Alerts
The new Product Change Alerts feature allows users to receive an alert or notification whenever a product of interest in the Erudus Data Pool has a change made to it - this could mean any products in your range, or those that have a local code attached.
This functionality has been created to make it easier for our users to find out when changes have been made to products they are interested in.

Product Lists
The new Product Lists feature allows users to create lists of products on Erudus that are of interest to them. This will give them faster, easier access to the data for these products - whether that is viewing the spec online or taking the data offline with a CSV export.

ReadSegmenting Brands
