New Integration Partner: Dill
It’s shaping up to be a great year for Erudus API integrations, and we’re very happy to say that we can now announce another exciting partnership...
Dill is “the real-time food ordering platform specially designed for education campuses”. With childhood allergies on the rise and nutrition for young people a hotter topic than ever, the Dill Erudus integration is a timely one.
But like Erudus, Dill are focused on making the lives of their partners and customers easier in all aspects of their business. Explains Alex Coldea, CEO of Dill “For our partners, Dill streamlines catering operations, cuts queues and anticipates demand, hence reducing food waste.”
Here’s everything you need to know about our new partnership with Dill…
Dill can save students valuable time
Dill CEO Alex Coldea says: “Dill is the real-time food ordering platform specially designed for education campuses. In universities, students can order and enjoy their items on the go, saving valuable time during breaks. In schools, pupils can pre-order their breakfast and lunch, collecting their food from various pick-up points around the school. Parents top-up their account online and all payments are processed in-app, via web or in-school kiosks, making the entire system cashless.”
Erudus is the latest step in Dill’s full food ordering suite
Alex says: “In addition to our food ordering software, we have recently developed Dill Printer, our new food labelling platform. Dill Printer is an intuitive, highly customisable application that catering outlets can use to print product labels on-demand. Given the increased need for accurate allergens and ingredients information, we believe that [integrating with Erudus] is an important step towards offering a full food ordering suite for our partners.
They believe accurate food data is increasingly important in the education sector...
Alex says: “The food ordering industry is becoming increasingly complex, with safety and data accuracy being at the centre of it. It is now, more important than ever, to ensure that customers are receiving clear and detailed information regarding the products they consume. In the education sector, this plays a vital role in encouraging pupils and students to always be mindful of the ingredients present in the products they purchase, especially when it comes to allergens. Such integrations are extremely important in this industry, as they streamline operations and minimise the chance for errors in the supply chain. This means that Caterers can benefit from the peace of mind that comes with having a robust pipeline in place that leaves little room for human error.”
… and that Erudus are Dill’s food data solution
Alex says: “Erudus [is] the market leader in providing accurate allergy and nutritional information. We are very excited to begin this partnership and we believe this is going to be an essential part of our mission to streamline catering operations.”
The accuracy of Erudus’s data is a big draw for Dill
Alex says: “By collaborating with Erudus, we are able to get information that comes directly from the suppliers, providing a high level of accuracy for our clients.”
They plan on utilising the Erudus Recipe Builder
Alex says: We are most interested in getting allergens and ingredients information by accessing the Erudus Public API. Furthermore, the Erudus recipe builder that our clients use is a very useful feature that we are planning to utilise in order to access full product information. This would ensure that all products managed by our clients are always up-to-date and all labels contain accurate information at all times.”
Dill will use the Erudus portal to improve their labelling platform
Alex says: “We are planning to retrieve product information, especially ingredients/allergens information through Erudus Public API. By using the Erudus website portal, we can improve our labelling platform through various ways. For example, the Erudus platform would allow us to also include colour-based nutritional information on the printed labels.
With Natasha’s Law imminent, this integration is particularly timely
Alex says: “Accessing accurate up-to-date allergens and ingredients information plays a vital role in the performance of our new food labelling platform. By collaborating with Erudus, we are able to develop a smooth pipeline, ensuring our partners make use of information that meets the highest standards in the industry. With the upcoming Natasha’s Law, this integration allows us to optimise our operations, expand more rapidly and offer our partners the high degree of confidence they need.”
They expect to keep on finding new ways to take advantage of integrating with Erudus
Alex says: “We are also looking forward to exploring further ways in which this integration can benefit our clients beyond the aspects mentioned.”
Erudus are excited about the potential this collaboration will unlock
Erudus COO Jon Shayler says: “I’m delighted to welcome Dill into the Erudus fold. Partnerships such as this allow us to push food product data even further across the industry - in Dill’s case they’re doing excellent work in the education sector, and I look forward to seeing our mutual customers reap the benefits of this partnership. Dill share our commitment to providing a single source of truth across the food industry, and exploring options with such companies allows us to reach more people and make running their business easier and more efficient.”
