It was with that in mind we recently created the new Erudus ESG survey for Manufacturers, and now it’s the turn of our Wholesalers.
With the UK’s foodservice industry increasingly focused on achieving sustainable and ethical supply chains, as announced at last week’s Erudus User Forum, we have introduced a new feature for Wholesalers that will make it easier for them to comply with the FWD’s new measures relating to ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). What are the new Manufacturer Management Tools for Wholesalers?

The Manufacturer Management Tools are a new feature and area of the Wholesaler Dashboard. Here, Wholesaler users can review the products, accreditations and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) status of any Erudus Manufacturers they do business with.

This new feature allows Erudus Wholesaler users to create a list of the Manufacturers that they do business with in Erudus. Once the list is populated they can review the following:

• How many products from each Manufacturer the Wholesaler has a product code attached to
• The number of active accreditations of each type that Manufacturers have (and the Wholesaler can also download accreditations the Manufacturers have published)
• The Erudus ESG survey for Manufacturers responses that the Manufacturers have completed. You can get both a scorecard for each Manufacturer and a rolled up score for all Manufacturers to assess ESG impact based on a Wholesaler’s supply chain

Why have we introduced Manufacturer Management Tools for Wholesalers?

These new auditing tools allow Erudus Wholesalers to take a holistic view of their suppliers in one place, and easily gain access to information they need in order to be compliant in their own business.

Previously, Wholesalers didn’t have this top level view of Erudus Manufacturers and could only review accreditations for a Manufacturer when looking at a product for that specific Manufacturer - making audits an onerous task.

What are the benefits of Manufacturer Management Tools for Wholesalers?

Erudus Wholesalers will reap multiple benefits from this new feature, including:

• Reviewing product code allocation ensures that gaps are filled by easily identifying missing lines
• Verifying supplier claims by ensuring accreditations are published to Manufacturer accounts so that Wholesalers can access them easily to be compliant when they are audited
• Getting ahead with the growing focus on ESG credentials/compliance within the foodservice supply chain in the UK, including the Federation of Wholesale Distributors setting government-beating targets for all FWD members to be Net Zero by 2040

When will the Manufacturer Management Tools for Wholesalers be available?

As demonstrated and announced at the Erudus User Forum earlier this month, this new feature is now available and ready to use.
