New Feature - 2-Factor Authentication
At September’s Erudus User Forum we announced the launch date (8th January 2024) for a whole slate of exciting new additions and updates coming to the platform.
Well, the date is fast approaching and time has come to learn more about them.
So, allow us to present 2-Factor Authentication, an upcoming feature that’s been born directly out of user feedback...
What is 2-Factor Authentication?
2-Factor Authentication is a higher-security method of logging into your Erudus Account.
Who can use 2-Factor Authentication?
Everyone with an Erudus account can use 2-Factor Authentication should they wish to enable the function.
Why are we introducing 2-Factor Authentication?
This addition to the login process was requested by several of our customers - particularly those who are security-conscious, or have minimum requirements for adopting software within their organisation - and we jumped at the chance to give all Eurdus users reassurance of the platform’s security.
By incorporating a user’s personal device into the login process, any chance of data on the account being compromised is greatly reduced, and users can be confident they are the only person accessing their account.
How will 2-Factor Authentication work?
When 2-Factor Authentication has been enabled by your account admin, after inputting your email address and password on the login page, you will be prompted to use an authentication app on a personal device (such as your phone or tablet) and scan a QR code, which will then provide you with a 6 digit code to input on the login page to complete the login process.
