Supermarkets 'encouraged to cap food prices' by government to help with cost of living crisis

One of the mooted solutions to the increasing cost of living crisis has been the introduction of price caps on various food items, and according to Sky the Treasury had proposed relaxing some new packaging rules, and possibly delaying changes to rules around healthy food, in exchange for price caps.

Growing more in the UK won’t solve food security, warns FPC

The Trade body Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) has warned that simply growing more fruit and veg in the UK will not solve food security or tackle climate and geopolitical concerns. As per the Fresh Produce Journal, concerns have been raised about the new EU-UK reset deal, and calls to produce more domestically threaten UK imports from further afield.
