Release Notes May: New features, attributes, validations and system fixes to Erudus

At Erudus we’re always looking to improve - to make life easier for our customers and progress further in our mission to make accurate food data more easily and quickly accessible to everyone who needs to see it. So we’re frequently introducing new features to the platform, and performing upgrades and fixes that keep things running smoothly and come as a direct response to any issues that our users are having. With that in mind, here’s what our team have been working on lately…

Fixes

API Users

Archived Products Showing as Active There was an issue where some products that had been archived were still showing as ‘active’ when accessing the data via the API. This has been resolved and now all archived products will be archived when calling the product using the API

Manufacturer Users

"No Outer Case Present" and "No Inner Component Present" Attribute Fixes When Manufacturers used the “No Outer Case Present” or “No Inner Component Present” attributes but there was data entered for the weights and dimensions of the applicable layer, the data would not be erased and would still show on the finished specification. This has been resolved and now all present weights and dimension data will be erased when the “No Outer Case Present” or “No Inner Component Present” attributes are used

New Attributes

Additional Product Categories for Non Food Specifications

The following options have been added to the ‘Product Category’ attribute for the ‘Non Food’ specification type:

  • Paper
  • Ink

New Accreditations

The following accreditation attributes have been added to relevant specification types:

  • Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS)
  • Iceland Responsible Fisheries (IRF)
  • GlobalG.A.P.
  • Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM)
  • MEL Japan

Validations

"Allergen Statement on Pack" and "Additional Allergen Information" Validation Updates

The validation for the “Allergen Statement on Pack” and the “Additional Allergen Information” attributes has been modified to handle "May Contain" statements for nuts and cereals when the parent category for the allergen is yes and there may be presence of other derivatives
