443 AI Integration Partnership

Wholesalers using the 443 AI platform for online and mobile ordering can now provide their customers with enhanced product data including, allergen, nutrition and ingredient declarations.

We’re pleased to announce an integration partnership with Biggest Shed from 443 AI, the Scottish tech startup offering an online sales and marketing platform to food wholesalers.

Wholesalers using the platform to power their online and mobile ordering offering for their customers can benefit from enhanced product data, with a host of extra product attributes from the Erudus data pool including, allergen, nutrition and ingredient declarations.

443 AI has taken the integration a step further, using the Erudus Food Allergy Icons its users can quickly identify if a product contains any of the major 14 allergen ingredients.

Erudus chief operating officer Jon Shayler said:

Jason and the team at 443 AI have created a forward-thinking e-commerce platform, feature rich, addressing many of the challenges specific to online ordering for wholesalers in the foodservice industry. It’s also great to see 443 AI’s adoption of theErudus Food Allergy Iconsthey look fantastic on the product pages and really make the important information stand out on the page. The integration partnership is yet another example of how working closely with other software providers is helping realise the use of a single source of product data across the food industry, ultimately benefitting everyone involved.

443 AI’s Founder and Managing Director Jason Finch said:

Having worked extensively with Palmer and Harvey in the past to develop an innovative new e-commerce platform that showed nutritional information for their convenience products, it was absolutely clear to me very early on that, focusing on foodservice, 443 AI’s platform would need to integrate with the number one provider of allergy and related data to the foodservice sector. For me, that is Erudus. I’m really pleased that their software is so good that integrating was a breeze. Being able to show allergy icons so prominently and clearly, and enabling dietary filters to become part of our machine-learning search product has been a real boost to what our platform can deliver to foodservice wholesalers and their customers.

Savona Foodservice are the first to utilise the platform

Savona Foodservice is the first wholesaler to onboard to the platform and already starting to see the benefits it brings.

The 443 AI platform integrates with the Savona’s ERP (enterprise resource planning) system to automate order placement, stock checking, customer-specific pricing and allows sales by cases or splits to name a few of the wholesaler specific features of the platform.

Kelly Williams, Group Sales and Marketing Director of Savona said:

We’re excited about the journey we have started with 443 AI and seeing what I have already seen, tells me that we could not be in better hands for creating an online ordering app that’s really at the cutting edge of innovation and providing a much better customer experience than other platforms that we could have used. Feedback from our customers already using the new platform has been beyond our expectations.

Shaun Bailey of Butlers of Cheltenham, commented:

I am very impressed with the simplicity of the service. I found all products straight away, and my shopping lists had even been built for me already. I look forward to using it in future.” and Rebecca Jones of Thornes Farm Shop has decided to stop using other suppliers because the platform is so efficient: “I find the Savona online ordering site extremely easy to use. In fact it’s so brilliant I’ve ordered a lot more than I used to, saving me time where I used to have to make a separate trip to the supermarket.

More about 443 AI

443 AI’s platform uses “machine learning” to customise the shopping experience for each individual customer, including personalising search results and the supplier promotions shown such that suppliers can create highly targeted digital marketing for the first time.

It uses the latest progressive web app technology, which bridges the gap between mobile websites and regular apps and removes the limitations of each one. For example, it’s just as fast and intuitive as an app on mobile phones and tablets, but also adapts to larger displays and non-touch devices.

Progressive web apps can have push notifications enabled, but because they’re on the web no download is required for installation or updates as happens with apps, standard web links can be given in social media and email marketing, and rankings on Google are significantly improved as product information can be made available on the web and kept fresh.

Built from scratch specifically for foodservice wholesale, the app allows wholesalers to take advantage of:

  • Bespoke pricing per customer account
  • Pricing tiers/levels based on quantity or product weight ordered
  • Sales by cases or splits, including scope for split surcharge pricing
  • Supplier advertising and promotions tailored to user activity and order patterns
  • Enhanced search using machine learning giving targeted results to each customer
  • Customer order approval: basket built by staff and then approved by senior staff
  • Integration with Erudus and others to supply nutritional, allergen and product specifications
  • Responsive and adaptive fast interface that enables very quick order building on all screen sizes and devices from smartphones to huge screens
  • Long-lived customer baskets to enable orders to be built over time across multiple devices
  • Insights to customer behaviour to drive sales
  • Integration to ERP (for order processing and stock control)
