Environmental scoring is coming to Erudus specifications!

Erudus News

As announced at today’s User Forum, Erudus are heading into an exciting new partnership with market leading Mondra to bring environmental and sustainability scoring to our users’ food products, and the wider food industry.

This will strengthen Erudus’s position when it comes to the Public Sector data ask, benefiting both our Manufacturer and Wholesaler users – particularly given that it helps level the playing field when it comes to making this sort of important information widely accessible.

We expect it to have a positive impact for businesses looking to improve or highlight sustainability, and will assist Manufacturers in making informed decisions when it comes to the environmental impact of their products.

How will it work?

Erudus will be passing the data for all food products on our platform to Mondra.

At the moment this data modelling will only be applied to food products in our Pool, although we expect that non-food products will come into play some time down the road.

Mondra will use their hyper-modelling tech to create a digital twin for each product, providing information about the product’s environmental and carbon impact, sustainability and more. Manufacturers will have access to all the details of this additional data that can be added to their specification, and will also have the option of engaging Mondra further.

Who are Mondra?

In their own words, “Mondra builds a live digital twin of every food product's supply chain, so retailers and suppliers can see carbon, cost and risk at product level.”

They empower retailers, Manufacturers and suppliers with the data, insights, and tools they need to build resilient, transparent, and sustainable food systems. By helping organisations reduce impact, optimise sourcing, and meet compliance demands, they’re driving measurable change for people, profit, and planet.

What Mondra have to say...

"Partnering with Erudus is about making high-quality sustainability data available to far more food businesses. By generating supply chain digital twins for Erudus customers, we're helping suppliers respond to growing requests for product carbon data today, while giving them a foundation to improve product sustainability, strengthen supply chain transparency and manage future risks with confidence.”

What Erudus have to say

“Over the past year we’ve been doing lots of work to fortify the Erudus Data Pool in terms of the data ask for Public Sector tendering, and the introduction of carbon impact scoring is an important new step in achieving that goal. We’re delighted to be partnering with a market leader like Mondra in this venture – we expect the important sustainability data they provide will prove invaluable for many in terms of ESG.”
