Basic Specification Update - Gluten Claim Icon Label
We have made further enhancements to the way the gluten concentration of a product is communicated on the Erudus basic allergen & nutritional specification sheet.
In order to clearly communicate the gluten concentration of a product that contains cereals containing gluten, we have removed the gluten claim text field that was separate from the allergen icons and now use a blue icon label over the cereals icon to highlight when a products gluten concentration is less than 20 parts per million (ppm) which will make it suitable for people observing a gluten free diet and for people with gluten intolerance/coeliac disease.
Below is an example of the new icon label being applied to the "Contains Cereals/Gluten" icon where the gluten concentration has been declared less than 20ppm.
